Domed, 1.2 mm thick, anti-reflective on both faces.

A hand-polished 0.4 mm chamfer that catches light at the edge.

Diamond-cut and thermally blued. Hours, minutes, sweeping seconds.

Sunburst dial

32 passes of radial brushing, applied indices, printed minute track.

316L steel, 10.4 mm high, brushed flanks and polished chamfers. Water resistant to 100 m.

One night on the summit.

Minus twenty-two degrees. A third less oxygen. A pressure that finds every weakness. The movement comes down the mountain adjusted to within two seconds a day, or it does not come down at all.

Twelve hands, one calibre.

Each VL-01 passes through the same twelve watchmakers, in the same order, in the same room above the lake. Nine months from raw plate to cased movement.
